ESCalate Tenth Anniversary

It is ten years since a network of twenty four subject centres was established in the UK to support discipline specific developments in teaching and learning in Higher Education. The Learning and Teaching Support Network (LTSN) as it was known became part of the Higher Education Academy in 2004.
Over the ten years the Subject Centre for Education (ESCalate), hosted by the University of Bristol, has worked in association with several other HEIs including Nottingham, Oxford Brookes, Stirling, Cumbria (fomerly St Martin's College), and the Universities Council for the Education of Teachers (UCET). The contribution of staff within these institutions has and continues to be highly valued.
The discipline focused approach to enhancing the learning experiences of students is well regarded amongst the education and education related communities. ESCalate is proud to serve its community and we expect the next few years to be exciting though challenging.
