Code of practice (QAA)

The Code is comprised of a suite of inter-related documents for the guidance of higher education institutions subscribing to the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (the QAA).

QAA

The Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) was established in 1997 to provide an integrated quality assurance service for higher education institutions. Its main business is "to review the performance of universities and colleges of higher education. It does this by visiting institutions to audit their overall academic management, including arrangements for collaboration with overseas partners; and to assess the quality and standards of teaching and learning at subject level."

The website contains a range of on-line publications including guidelines for review, review reports and a code of practice  for the assurance of academic quality and standards in higher education.
