Six months after students graduate they are sent a questionnaire asking them whether they are in employment, studying, travelling or are looking for work. This 'first destination' data is then used to produce pie charts showing what recent graduates are doing. These are often split into types of career.
It can be a useful exercise to look at first destination data for your subject area as it provides a guide to the kind of vocational areas open to someone with your educational background. However note that the accuracy of this document may be affected by those graduates who took a year out before looking for a job or course. Also bear in mind that some of these graduates may not have remained in these careers.
