‘Care and Well being: personal, social and global approaches to ESD/GC in ITE’

A half day workshop open to teachers, teacher educators, students, researchers, and anyone with an interest in education for sustainable development.

"Improving our society's sense of well-being is, I believe, the central political challenge of our times."   David Cameron November 2010

This workshop will provide an opportunity to explore what we might mean by well being and the contribution of ESD/GC to achieving this. Stephen Sterling will give the key note address, raising some of the critical issues around notions of well being in the current global context and how we might use ESD/GC to meet some of the challenges that we face across the globe. There will also be an opportunity to share current practice, particularly in relation to how we can best understand the impact of ESD/GC provision within ITE on beginner teachers.
