Following the success of our second Learning and Teaching conference Transitions last year, we are delighted to invite abstracts for our third conference on Thursday 13 May 2010. We welcome submissions from as wide a range of Higher Education practitioners as possible with presentations addressing the theme of learning dialogues.
Better understanding of learning dialogues is an important element in the scholarship of Learning and Teaching. Our conference is designed to provide a forum in which effective, evidence-informed practice can be shared and debated. We are particularly interested in submissions from individuals or groups reporting innovative research into learning dialogues.
The learning dialogues conference will be organised around four themes:
- Learning dialogues as a professional development tool
- Virtual learning dialogues
- Learning dialogues as talk and discussion in HE settings
- Researching the student experience through learning dialogues
The conference provides an opportunity to present through research papers, interactive workshops or posters. The intention is to develop discussions about the significance of learning dialogues for effective Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. Submissions are welcomed from all involved in Learning and Teaching, both those with significant experience in this area, and those who are new to Higher Education.
