Background
Karen joined the University of Glamorgan (or Polytechnic of
Wales as it was then) in 1986 as a lecturer in the Department of Arts
and Languages having worked in private industry for several years. In
1991 she moved to what would become the Business School as a senior
lecturer and remained there working in a variety of award tutor and
scheme leader roles and teaching in both the HR and Strategy Divisions,
until a secondment took her to the School of Humanities and Social
Sciences in 2001. Karen was made a principal lecturer in 2003 and moved
to HaSS at that time. Having worked with CELT on a part time secondment
since 2006, Karen joined on a permanent full time basis on 1st September
2009 as PL Learning, Teaching and Assessment and acting Deputy Head.
