At this time of year, Subject Centres are formalising plans for the coming year. Budgets are tight, certainly not expanding, and the demand for resources grows steadily. In November last, the Directors of the 24 subject centres agreed to enhance networking activity by working collaboratively in three key areas: HE engagement with employers; Student assessment and feedback - building on the Scottish enhancement theme activity initiated in 2005; Support for new academic staff.
