Description

This resource is, hopefully, in development. A search phrase like 'value added' gives 250 or so links - sorted by 'relevance' it only gave access to the first 80 or so - then it refused to go any further. Three quarters were highly repetitive links to the DCSF website. The rest mainly to NFER reources, many of which are out of date. Both these organisations are sponsors. The DCSF tends to exclude research that fails to fit some political viewpoints, and some of their resources are superficial. The NFER resources are generally better quality for educational researchers and teachers, but can be limited.

There is a vast stock of resources and literature on 'value added' in the UK and abroad that get no mention. Researchers and teachers must feel confident that they are getting access to comprehensively considered, politically unbiased, 'reputable' set of resources. It is worth researchers and teachers experimenting with searches on areas they know well, so they can judge this resource before recommending it to students.
