Enhancing the student experience in lifelong learning: research and practice

The conference will comprise a mixture of keynotes, parallel sessions of workshops and discussion papers covering the themes of: Flexible delivery (eg. e-learning, distance learning, work-based learning); Part-time study; Inclusion; Assessment and feedback; Research-teaching linkages

Keynote speakers include:

  • Professor John Field: Director of the Division of Academic Innovation and Continuing Education; Deputy Principal (Research), University of Stirling, Associate Director of ESCalate.

  • Professor Lee Harvey: Director, Centre for Research and Evaluation, Sheffield Hallam University.

  • Professor Kathryn Eccleston: Professor of Post-Compulsory Education, Westminster Institute of Education, Oxford Brookes University.

  • Dr Hazel Knox: Senior Research Fellow, Centre for Lifelong Learning, University of Paisley.

Registration Fee(s)

Early bird rate £305 (until 02 03 2007) - inclusive of accommodation, conference dinner and entertainment.

Standard rate £325 - inclusive of accommodation, conference dinner and entertainment.

Day delegate rate 24 May – includes lunch - £115.

Day delegate rate 25 May – includes lunch - £115

Conference dinner, wine reception and entertainment (24 May) - £45.

Cancellation: Cancellation of places should be in writing (faxes and email accepted). A 20% administrative charge will apply to cancellations received before Friday 13 April 2007. After this date, or for non-attendance on the day, the full fee will be payable.
