The aims of the udecide Project are:1)      To assist students in making appropriate educational decisions at key points in their lives. 2)      To improve the retention of students in Higher Education from those areas and groups where participation in Higher education is low.The workshops provide assistance in considering how to make an appropriate educational decision; allow learners to analyse case studies to ascertain what makes a decision a success; and provide an opportunity for action planning. The project is seeking assistance in developing materials from the workshops into a format that is sympathetic to dyslexic learners and providing the materials in other languages for use with ethnic minority groups, including asylum seekers – the “New Glaswegians” -for whom English is a second language.

The materials will be disseminated to providers of educational guidance who are partners in the West of Scotland Wider Access Forum and who are already using the standard format of the workshop.
